Favorite pastimes at Pech Gris include: reading in a hammock in the shade of a plum tree, swimming in the pool, playing petanque, picking wild berries, and watching clouds float over the sunflower fields. |

There are walking trails which connect the major sights in the region. Mostly, the trails run through woods and fields, sometimes on small country roads and very rarely on major roads. Walking these trails is a wonderful way to see the region. |

Biking in the region is very nice, but remember the rolling hills. Trained bikers enjoy this very much, for the casual biker it can be challenging. |

If you like horseback riding, you should definitely do it while you stay in the region. The right guide will take you through woods and fields in the rolling hills to make your ride one you will remember. Also remember to bring a good pair of jeans and an old T-shirt as you might have to go through the brushes and low hanging branches. |

There are a few golf courses in the Lot-et-Garonne, the Dordogne and the Lot. The nearest one is the Golf and Country club of Villeneuve sur Lot. It is an 18 hole course located in Castelnaud de Gratecambe. more... |

For the more adventurous, there are rock climbing opportunities in nearby Gavaudun. See the site of Nature Evasion for details. |

The Lot, the Garonne and the Canal du Midi with its unique canal bridges offer great opportunities for barge cruising. Barges can be rented for a day or a week in places like Penne-d'Agenais, Damazan, Cahors, Agen, or Toulouse. Even if you don't feel like a captain, you should go and visit a Canal-bridge. You will see boats on the bridge instead of under the bridge! The longest is in Agen. If you visit the one in Moissac, drive about 15 miles further south to admire The "Pente d'Eau" in Montech, a unique piece of technology of the 70s.
